The apartment
Stylish 68 sqm apartment between Trieste's historic centre and Barcola beach, in the Gretta neighbourhood, with unique panoramic views over the Adriatic and the entire city. The apartment sits on a quiet suburban cul-de-sac alongside a nature reserve, so the silence is broken only by birdsong and the occasional cry of a seagull.
The master bedroom has a queen bed, the "kids' room" has a bunk bed, and the living room has a sofa that opens into a double bed. A levelling mattress can also be used with the sofa. All three rooms are air conditioned.

How to find us
The apartment is located in Gretta, a quiet residential neighbourhood on the hill overlooking Trieste. It's a 10–15 minute drive from anywhere in the city, and about a 35 minute drive from Trieste airport. From the Flixbus and railway station there is a direct bus (line 38) to our street, just 8 short stops away. From the bus stop it's a 270 metre walk up the hill. The apartment is on the 3rd floor, the building has no elevator. The city centre and seafront are 7–8 minutes by bus, or a pleasant 25–30 minute walk.
Parking
Parking is a real challenge throughout Trieste, but with a few tips the situation is quite manageable. Gretta is a residential area and street parking is free everywhere around the apartment, so in the evenings and on weekends the streets fill up completely. On weekdays during working hours (08:00–16:00), however, the streets empty out and you can comfortably grab a spot even right in front of the building. After that, it's best to get around on foot or by bus. The city centre is 7–8 minutes by bus. If we don't arrive at an ideal time, it's worth being prepared and leaving the car at the bottom of the hill. The driver should plan for a 5–10 minute (300–500 m) carb-burning walk up the steep, winding streets. (It's a good idea to drop the family off in front of the building first.) After booking, we'll send detailed parking tips for the area.
